Barbara’s December Performances with PBO
♫ November 7th, 2011 4:59 pmThis is a busy season for musicians. Philharmonia Baroque is doing two works in December without a break. Good thing we did The Messiah together last year. Won’t be new to anyone.
Bach’s Mass in b Minor. Gorgeous music. Lots of fugues. Seventeen choruses, most of which have two soprano parts. I have my work cut out learning it by the end of the month! Sure will be fun once the performances roll around. Such a grand work!
The Messiah in Disney Hall. My first professional tour. I can’t wait!
Performances are December 2,3,4,6 for the Bach in various Bay Area locations. December 10th The Messiah in Berkeley. December 13th and 14th in LA’s Disney Hall. See you there!
